On Wednesday 18 September 2024, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar inaugurated the Malaysian Education Exhibition at Hotel Ramada in Islamabad. He was accompanied by Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus Bin Hasbullah, Counsellor of the High Commission of Malaysia. The event was organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).The event aimed to showcase Malaysia’s diverse educational opportunities to students in Islamabad and surrounding areas. In his remarks, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar commended EMGS for promoting Malaysia as a destination for international students. Ambassador Dato’ Azhar also encouraged Pakistani students to explore the educational programs and scholarships offered by Malaysian universities.
Malaysia, known as a modern Muslim nation, offers high-quality education, reasonable living costs, and a multicultural learning environment. With its excellence in fields like engineering, medicine, business, and information technology, Malaysia attracts students globally.
During the exhibition, visitors had the chance to interact directly with university representatives, gaining valuable insights into the courses and programs available, admission requirements, and vibrant Malaysian student life. Additionally, informative seminars and workshops were held, covering topics such as scholarships, visa procedures, and career prospects for students in Malaysia.
Malaysian prestigious universities participated in the event, including University Malaya (UM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), University Putra Malaysia (UPM) University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), UCSI University, University of Cyberjaya (UoC), University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Multimedia University (MMU), INCEIF University.
