On Tuesday, 25 February 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan attended the inauguration ceremony of the photo exhibition titled "Palestine Was, and Will Remain" at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA). The event was organized by the Embassy of Palestine in collaboration with PNCA. Mr. Jamal Shah, President and Chief Curator of Hunerkada, College of Visual & Performing Arts, Islamabad, inaugurated the exhibition. Also in attendance were members of the diplomatic corps based in Islamabad and representatives of civil society.
Addressing the gathering, His Excellency Mr. Zuhair Darzaid, Ambassador of Palestine, stated that the exhibition was a proof to the existence, resilience, and spirit of the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the images displayed in the exhibition depicted the harsh realities of ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and oppression endured by Palestinians, particularly in Gaza and, more recently, in the West Bank. The Ambassador further explained that the exhibition aimed to provide visitors with insight into the Palestinian experience and urged viewers to stand on the side of justice, humanity, and truth.
