On 30 November 2015, His Excellency Dato’ Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan accompanied by his spouse, attended the “International Workshop on Climate Change Resilient Agriculture Systems” at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. His Excellency was invited as the Chief Guest for the inauguration of the workshop.
During the inaugural ceremony, His Excellency the High Commissioner, among others, stressed the importance of the global community to work together in addressing the challenges posed by the climate change including in the field of agriculture. He hoped that experts gathered from the Asia Pacific countries, Including, from Malaysia, could share each country’s experiences in tackling such an important issue. He also hoped that more Pakistani students would study in Malaysia in future. He told the participants that 100,000 students from all over the world are now studying in different Malaysian universities and the number of Pakistani students is around 3000.
