INITIAL STAGE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE HIGH COMMISSION OF

MALAYSIA COMPLEXES IN ISLAMABAD ON 8 JULY 2009

On Friday, 10 July 2009, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD, High Commissioner of Malaysia made an inspection on the two plots of land in the Diplomatic Enclave in Islamabad, after which these plots were handed over to the Malaysian Contractor, spearheaded by HAJI ISMAIL ARIS on 8 July 2009 in Putrajaya.

AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN inspected both the plots and was very satisfied with the first plot of 1.6 acres that had fully been cleared and specific demarcations were made on the land. However, the second plot of 2.5 acres was still in the process of clearing, which obviously took a longer time due to its bigger size. In essence, the initial stage of construction of the complexes of the High Commission of Malaysia marked a historic and remarkable achievement of its 52 years of diplomatic relations with Pakistan.

In summary, the timely construction of the complexes of the High Commission of Malaysia would indicate the ?iconic? landmark of the presence of Malaysia in Pakistan.
