On Wednesday, 14 June 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended an event entitled “Connectivity and Emerging Role of Pakistan” organised by Zahid Latif Khan, Chairman of the Asian Institute of Eco-Civilization Research and Development at ISE Tower, Islamabad. His Excellency the High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission.
The highlight of the event was a lecture by His Excellency Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, Additional Secretary (Afghanistan & West Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan on “Connectivity and Emerging Role of Pakistan”, which focused on the theme of connectivity and elaborating on the evolving role of Pakistan in the context. The lecture provided insights and comprehensive analysis, offering a deeper understanding of Pakistan's strategic position in the global landscape.
The event was attended by 22 Ambassadors/High Commissioners from West Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and ASEAN. Business leaders from Pakistan also participated in the event.
