In an effort to promote greater Pakistan-ASEAN relations to greater heights, the President of Pakistan, His Excellency Mamnoon Hussain, hosted a lunch at his office on 19 Aril, 2016. All the 7 ASEAN Ambassadors with the exception of Thailand, were present at the lunch. During the meeting, issues effecting Pakistan-ASEAN, as well as, bilateral issues were discussed. The ASEAN Ambassadors were extremely happy to have such privilege and such cordial discussion should continue in future. The President expressed the hope that Pakistan would become full ASEAN dialogue partner once the moratorium of new members has passed.
