LUNCHEON HOSTED BY THE LOCALLY RECRUITED STAFF OF THE

HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA IN ISLAMABD

On 6 January 2009, the Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad hosted a luncheon in honour of the Home-Based Staff (HBS). Essentially, the aim of the gathering was to express their profound appreciation and gratitude to the Government of Malaysia for the recent revision of the LRS salary, which took effect 1 September 2008.

On this occasion, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD, High Commissioner of Malaysia, was deeply touched and thanked the LRS for graciously giving this luncheon for the HBS. In his remarks, he advised LRS to be professional in their job, be multi-tasking, increase productivity, ensure better quality, get things done-on-time, be efficient and also be creative and innovative towards their work. Furthermore he stressed the need to have greater teamwork, esprit de corps and team-learning towards the stature of a ?WORLD-CLASS EMBASSY,? besides the vision of aggressively promoting the dynamic and progressive image of Malaysia in Pakistan.
