On 30 July 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, accompanied by Mr. Syafik Firdaus Hasbullah, participated in the Comprehensive International Simulation Exercise (CISE) 5/2025, held at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters in Islamabad.
The exercise brought together representatives from NDMA Pakistan and friendly partner countries including Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, China, Mauritius, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh and Madagascar.
The main objective of the simulation was to strengthen collaboration and mutual learning across nations in managing complex emergencies and disasters. The exercise tested disaster response strategies and promoted interoperability between civil, military, academic, technical, private, and media sectors.
Malaysia values its continuous cooperation with Pakistan in disaster preparedness and remains committed to regional and global resilience-building efforts. The High Commission extends its appreciation to NDMA Pakistan for hosting a successful multilateral engagement.
