MEDIA FEST 2024, BAHRIA UNIVERSITY

On Monday, 3 June 2024, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Counsellor of the Malaysian High Commission attended the Media Fest 2024 at Bahria University. Upon arrival, Mr. Syafik was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Adam Saud, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS), lecturers, and staff of the faculty.

The two-day event was organized by the Department of Media Studies, FHSS. Media Fest 2024 is a testament to the remarkable creativity, dedication, and technical expertise of the students of the Media Department of Bahria University. Each project showcased at the event reflected the students’ ability to tell compelling stories, and innovative use of media technologies. The event served as a platform, for budding talents to showcase their skills, exchange ideas, and explore new horizons in the realm of media.

In his speech, Mr. Syafik expressed his enthusiasm and support for this event. He commended the Department of Media Studies for encouraging such a conducive environment where talent could thrive. He also mentioned the bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan in various fields comprising trade and investment, economy, defense, tourism, and education, among others. He reiterated Malaysia’s commitment to providing quality education to students from around the world. He encouraged Pakistani students to grab opportunities to further their study in Malaysia, and explore the diverse academic programs and scholarships offered by the Malaysian government and universities either partially or fully scholarship. He further said that through education, both countries can build bridges of friendship and cooperation that will benefit the two countries for generations to come.
