On 25 September 2025, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Counsellor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, received a courtesy call from representatives of the Malaysia Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia – MAPIM).
During the meeting, MAPIM briefed Mr. Syafik on the organisation’s ongoing humanitarian mission to aid flood victims in Pakistan. The delegation shared updates on the relief efforts being undertaken, including the distribution of essential supplies and medical assistance to communities severely affected by the recent floods.
Mr. Syafik expressed his sincere appreciation to MAPIM for its unwavering commitment and timely humanitarian response. He conveyed gratitude on behalf of the High Commission, recognising the important role Malaysian civil society organisations play in international relief efforts.
He further expressed hope that more non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from Malaysia would come forward to provide much-needed humanitarian assistance to the flood-affected communities in Pakistan, in the spirit of solidarity and compassion.
