Meeting with the Minister of State and Chairman, Pakistan Board of Investment (BOI)

In the forthcoming D – 8 Summit to be hosted by the Government of Pakistan from 19 – 21 November 2012, the BOI has been entrusted to organize a Business Forum to be attended by the corporate leaders of the D – 8 member countries. Hence, most of the discussions were centered on the D – 8, as well as, on subjects to improve further the environment for enhanced investment between the two countries.
The High Commissioner expressed his happiness over the recent adoption by the Government of Pakistan on the Bill for the Special Economic Zone. Such Bill would add greater confidence and consistency of investment rules for the foreign investors who are eager to invest in future in the country.
