MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE SIALKOT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (SCCI)

On 14 February 2013, His Excellency Dr. Hasrul Sani bin Mujtabar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, met Mr. Sheikh Abdul Majid, President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Sialkot at his office.  Sialkot is well known internationally for producing sports good, leather and surgical instrument.  The purpose of the meeting was to promote greater economic ties and bilateral relations between Malaysia and Pakistan.  The President of SCCI informed about the Sialkot International Airport which is basically joint effort of the business community of Sialkot.  His Excellency appreciated the role of business community there and expressed that the construction of Sialkot Airport would be very helpful for business.  His Excellency also mentioned about establishment of the Pakistan – Malaysia Business Council (Northern Chapter). During his visit, His Excellency visited different industries of Sialkot, as well as, Sialkot Airport and was deeply impressed.
