On Wednesday, 30 August 2023, Ambassador Azhar and Madam Amelia participated in a religious activity of Yassin Recitation, which was held at the High Commission of Malaysia, Islamabad. The said activity was organized by President of the Kelab STMI in conjunction with 66th Independence Day of Malaysia. Other present on this occasion were Home-based Staff (HBS), members of Perwakilan and the Locally Recruited Staff (LRS).
In his remarks, Ambassador Azhar thanked the Kelab STMI for organizing the event. He urged everyone to work as a team in order to raise Malaysia's image and profile in Pakistan. He also emphasized on harmony and unity among the staff to attain better working environment. He prayed for progress, peace and prosperity of Malaysia.
