On Thursday, 20 July 2023, Ambassador Azhar Mazlan attended the National IT Seminar on Unleashing Pakistan's IT Potential at Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
In his address at the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for Pakistan to boost its IT exports to USD 25 billion and IT investments to USD 20 billion within the next two to three years. He informed the audience that the government has already put in place a mechanism to ensure streamlined processes through one-window operations to facilitate investors.
The Prime Minister gave his assurance that the government would extend comprehensive support and facilities through the newly established Special Investment Facility Council (SIFC). The seminar was attended by foreign diplomats, IT experts, investors, entrepreneurs, professors, and university students.
