OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENT: DINNER RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF MTCP FORMER PARTICIPANTS

On Wednesday, 2 August 2023, Ambassador Azhar Mazlan hosted a dinner reception in honor of former participants of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). The event was attended by distinguished former participants, including Pakistani diplomats previously posted in Kuala Lumpur, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Think Tanks, and esteemed members of Pakistan's business community.

 

The primary objective of the dinner reception was to promote continuous engagement and foster a strong bond of friendship with all government officials who participated in MTCP courses in Malaysia. Additionally, it aimed to strengthen networking between the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad and former MTCP participants.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Azhar emphasized the importance Malaysia places on its bilateral relations with Pakistan. The longstanding and close cooperation between the two countries covers various vital sectors such as trade, investment, education, tourism, culture, defense, and technical assistance for human capital development.

 

Ambassador Azhar Mazlan expressed gratitude to all the attendees for their continuous support in strengthening the bilateral ties between Malaysia and Pakistan. The dinner reception showcased the shared commitment of both nations in fostering cooperation, friendship, and mutual understanding.

 

Speaking on behalf of former MTCP participants, Mr. Ali Asghar, Senior Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Islamabad thanked the High Commissioner for extending invitation to MTCP participants on the wonderful occasion.  He also expressed his sincere thanks for giving him an opportunity to share his experience as an MTCP participant.
