On Thursday, 24 October 2024, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Counsellor of the Malaysian High Commission attended the closing session of Sustainability Summit and Awards 2024 as a Guest of Honour at Best Westren Hotel, Islamabad. The event was organised by Development Communications Network (Devcom-Pakistan) with the technical support of Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA).
The event featured keynote speeches from prominent figures, including government officials, environmental activists, and business leaders, who emphasized the urgency of transitioning to a sustainable economy. Discussions focused on renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and the importance of community engagement in environmental initiatives.
The summit concluded with a commitment to establishing a multi-stakeholder task force dedicated to monitoring progress on sustainability initiatives and fostering ongoing dialogue among participants.
