From 2–4 April 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, participated in Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, following a special invitation by the host, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi.
Marking Malaysia’s return to PTM after five years, this participation reflects a renewed commitment to strengthening tourism ties between Malaysia and Pakistan under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
His Excellency visited the Malaysia Pavilion at the Karachi Expo Centre, where Malaysian industry partners showcased a wide range of offerings, including leisure tourism, MICE, education, and sustainable travel. His presence underscored Malaysia’s continued dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation through tourism.
Notably, Malaysia was accorded the honour of being the only country represented as a panelist at the Sustainable Destinations Forum, highlighting the country’s growing recognition as a leader in sustainable and responsible tourism. During the session, Malaysia shared insights on innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration in shaping the future of travel.
With growing visitor arrivals from Pakistan, Malaysia continues to position itself as a preferred destination—offering rich cultural experiences, accessibility, and warm hospitality.
