The 2024/2025 PERWAKILAN Islamabad Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Thursday, 18 January 2024 at the Malaysian High Commission, Islamabad.
The meeting was officiated by Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia / Adviser to the PERWAKILAN Islamabad, and chaired by Madam Amelia Amani Lee Abdullah. The meeting appointed committee members for Session 2024/2025 and various proposed activities for 2024 were presented to be implemented.
Ambassador Azhar congratulated all the members of PERWAKILAN Islamabad who have successfully implemented all the activities that have been planned throughout the year 2023. He mentioned that the commitment and cooperation as a team was important and stated that each member has a unique talent that can be proud of. The role of PERWAKILAN Islamabad is important to support the country's agenda abroad. He briefly informed members of the meeting the essence of the recent mandate by the newly appointed Malaysian Foreign Minister citing that Malaysia is not an "ordinary country" because it has an influence and stance at the international level that could be emulated by other countries.
