On Wednesday, 11 December 2024, Pakistan dispatched the second consignment of 40 tons of relief supplies for flood-affected communities in Malaysia. Present at the departure were Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Counsellor of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission, along with representatives from the NDMA and Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Federal Minister expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Malaysia during this challenging time, highlighting the shared experiences of both nations in facing natural disasters. He assured continued support from the government and people of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation in recovery efforts. The timely coordination and delivery of relief items by NDMA were also commended.
On behalf of Malaysia, the Counsellor of the High Commission expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s swift and generous assistance, reinforcing the spirit of friendship and mutual support between the two nations.
