On Monday, 8 January 2024, His Excellency Ambassador Azhar visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad and signed the condolence book following the terrorist attack in the city of Kerman of Iran on 3 January 2024.
On behalf of the government and the people of Malaysia, Ambassador Azhar expressed condolences and sympathies to the people of Iran, particularly to the victims and families who have lost their loved ones in the aftermath of the terrorist attack.
Malaysia strongly condemns the bombings in the city of Kerman and firmly rejects any acts of violence and terrorism in all of its forms. Malaysia also calls for the perpetrators of this attack to be swiftly brought to justice.
