The Malaysia High Commission in Islamabad recently organized a volleyball tournament league, featuring four (4) teams, namely FATAH - I, AL - ZARRAR, JF - 17 and SHAHEEN - III composed of members from the HBS and LRS departments. The tournament, scheduled on Friday afternoons, aimed to underscore the High Commission's commitment to promoting work-life balance and fostering a sense of unity among its staff.
Commencing in 3 November 2023 and concluding on 12 January 2024, the tournament provided a platform for friendly competition and collaboration. Team FATAH - I secured the championship by prevailing over Team AL - ZARRAR in the final match. Meanwhile, team JF - 17 and SHAHEEN - III secured the third and fourth positions, respectively.
Given the success and positive reception of the tournament, the High Commission has announced plans for another championship in 2024, as part of its annual sports programme. This initiative not only contributes to the physical well-being of the staff but also reinforces a sense of community and shared experiences within the Malaysia High Commission in Islamabad.
