The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan attended a reception to commemorate the 68th Anniversary of Malaysia’s Independence and the 62nd Anniversary of Malaysia Day. 


The event was a collaboration between the Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi and the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, The event took place at the Marriott Hotel, Karachi, and was attended by a distinguished gathering of diplomats, officials, and prominent members of the community.

The reception was graced by the Honourable Mr. Syed Awais Qadir Shah, Speaker of the Sindh Assembly and Acting Governor of Sindh, who served as the Chief Guest. The event also was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, business leaders, academics, media representatives, and friends of Malaysia.

The celebration marked an opportunity to reflect on Malaysia’s journey as a sovereign nation and to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan. The evening featured a cultural showcase and Malaysian hospitality, reflecting the rich heritage and values of the nation.

The event served as a platform to further enhance mutual understanding, cooperation, and goodwill between Malaysia and Pakistan, continuing a tradition of close collaboration and shared aspirations.
