On Thursday, 6 February 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan attended the International Conference on Global Diplomacy, Solidarity Among States, Tourism Vision, Women Development, and Facilities, organized by Noorani Group of Industries Faisalabad in collaboration with Cross Culture Asia at Ramada Hotel, Lahore.

During the event, the High Commissioner highlighted the strong historical and cultural ties between Malaysia and Pakistan, emphasizing the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora to Malaysia’s economy. He also noted the growing popularity of Pakistani culture, particularly in delicacies, in Malaysia.

The High Commissioner encouraged Pakistani entrepreneurs, especially women, to explore business opportunities in Malaysia and the ASEAN region, which offers access to a market of nearly 700 million people. He praised Malaysia’s commitment to women’s empowerment, citing the 30% representation policy in economic development and the presence of women-led marketplaces.

He also recognized Pakistan’s strong family business culture and its potential as an agricultural powerhouse, particularly in halal meat and food exports. Additionally, he stressed the importance of tourism development, expressing hope for more international tourists to visit Pakistan.

President Rabia Sikander addressing the conference, focused on solidarity among states, economic growth, research tourism, global trade gateways, transcending international borders, cross-culture management, and women’s global opportunities. She emphasized the importance of international collaboration to unlock new economic and cultural possibilities.
