THE 'MALAYSIA INCORPORATED' MEETING AT THE HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA IN ISLAMABAD ON 10 FEBURARY 2009 On Tuesday, 10 February 2009, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD, High Commissioner of Malaysia, held the first ?Malaysia Incorporated? Meeting with a few Malaysian companies based in Islamabad-Rawalpindi and Lahore. Some of the prominent companies were PETRONAS, TNB Liberty Power, IJM, Bandar Raya Development, BINA Goodyear and Bina Puri and also a Malaysian Chief Technical Officer of K&N?s. Besides Heads of department of the High Commission of Malaysia, the Senior Regional Director of TOURISM Malaysia, who is based in Dubai was also present.
After AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN?s welcoming remarks, the various leaders of the Malaysian companies and TOURISM Malaysia had lengthy discussions deliberating on issues related to their activities and experiences in terms of roles, challenges and prospects, some latest comments on the role of the Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Lahore, the proposition of setting-up a Malaysian Association in Islamabad-Rawalpindi-Lahore and also TOURISM Malaysia?s grandeur event of ?Malaysia Truly Asia Week? in Pakistan in May 2009.
Following the ?Malaysia Incorporated? Meeting, lunch was held at the official residence of the High Commissioner with homely Malaysian cuisines to savour.
