On 4 September 2025, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, joined a diplomat panel session during the Union Developers CEO Summit Islamabad, organized by CEO Club Pakistan and the World CEO Forum. The session was also attended by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, H.E. Faisal Karim Kundi, together with the Ambassadors of Poland, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye.

In his intervention, Ambassador Azhar highlighted Malaysia’s development experience and its relevance for Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of adopting stable short, medium, and long-term strategies that remain consistent regardless of political changes. He also underscored the need for equitable distribution of wealth to ensure that development benefits the wider population rather than widening the gap between rich and poor.

Ambassador Azhar also pointed to priority sectors for bilateral cooperation, including tourism, the halal industry, education, and semiconductors, noting that these fields could serve as engines for stronger Malaysia – Pakistan collaboration.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, in his remarks, invited greater investment in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting opportunities available in the province.

The Union Developers CEO Summit Islamabad also featured the launch of the best-selling book “100 CEOs & Diplomats of Pakistan” and the CEO Award Ceremony, held earlier on 4 September 2025 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The conference brought together more than 300 CEOs, business leaders, ambassadors, chairmen, investors, exporters, overseas Pakistanis, foreign delegates, women entrepreneurs, and directors, underscoring its role as one of Pakistan’s largest corporate gatherings.
