On 14 May 2025, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Deputy Head of Mission undertook a visit to COMSATS University in Islamabad
Upon his arrival, Mr. Syafik was warmly received by Dr. Hammad Omer, Head of the International Office, Mr. Arif Awan, Senior Program Officer, and university staff. The visit marked a significant step forward in fostering academic and diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Pakistan.
As part of the visit, Mr. Syafik delivered an insightful talk on the subject of Malaysia-Pakistan bilateral relations. His address highlighted the historical friendship, ongoing cooperation, and prospects between the two nations, particularly in the areas of education, research, and cultural exchange. The event was also attended by students from the International Relations, Economics, and Management Sciences departments, along with faculty lectures and staff.
Following the talk, Mr. Syafik was escorted to a meeting with the Incharge Campus, Professor Dr. Sohail Asghar. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss potential avenues for deeper collaboration between Malaysian institutions and COMSATS University. Discussions focused on student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and academic partnerships.
The High Commission and COMSATS University Islamabad look forward to future cooperation in support of shared goals in higher education and international development.
