On 12 November 2025, in conjunction with the visit of the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) to Sialkot, His Excellency Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, visited Awan Sports Industries Pvt. Ltd., Sialkot. Mr. Hassan Saleem, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Awan Sports received the delegation.
Established in 1982 as a trading company, Awan Sports initially exported soccer, volleyballs, hockey sticks, and other sports goods from Sialkot. One of the company’s significant achievements has been the development of the first approved field hockey sticks made from composite carbon and glass fibre materials. The factory is large in scale and highly professional, with a workforce of 2200 employees. The delegation also visited the factory and viewed the manufacturing of sports goods.
