YBhg. Datuk Othman Hashim, Secretary General of Wisma Putra made a working visit to Islamabad from 22 – 24 September, 2014. He was accompanied by Ms. Zurina Ahmed Tejuddin, Principal Assistant Secretary from the Development Division. The main purpose of the visit was to inspect the new Chancery and Residence of the High Commission of Malaysia to Pakistan in Islamabad which became fully operational on 16 December, 2013.
The Secretary General also took the opportunity to have in-depth discussions on the completed project costing about RM. 76.56 Million, as well as, on bilateral matters affecting Malaysia-Pakistan relations. In addition, he also took the liberty to meet the Home-Based Staff of the High Commission in the spirit of “Sistem Pentadbiran Kerajaan Malaysia (SPKM). During the meeting, the importance of team work and close cooperation was very much stressed, in order to promote the national interest of Malaysia in Pakistan.
High Commissioner Dato’ Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar also hosted a welcome dinner for YBhg. Datuk KSU at Rumah Malaysia. All Home-Based Staff and their spouses were invited as well.
