Approximately, 250 people were invited to attend the birthday celebration comprised of All Home Based Staff (HBS), Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) and Malaysians residing and registered with the Embassy of Malaysia. The celebration began at 8.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m.

After the birthday celebration was officiated, all guests were invited for breakfast. They were treated with fried noodles, curry puffs, tuna sandwiches, popiah and cakes to go with coffee, tea and “teh tarik”. The guests were then invited to join several indoor and outdoor games such as musical chair, carrying egg in spoon, drawing competition for children between age 6–12 years old and karaoke singing contest. During the celebration, the guests were entertained by a live band which helped to enliven the celebration. Winners and participants of various activities were rewarded with prizes and goodies bags before they proceeded for lunch. The prizes were handed over by H.E Ambassador Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi and his spouse, Madam Rosilawati Abd. Raffar.
For lunch, the guests were treated with various authentic Malaysian cuisines prepared by Madam Rosilawati Abd. Raffar and PERWAKILAN. Among the foods served were rice, “rendang” beef, curry chicken, spicy roasted chicken, spicy “sambal” squids and fruits such as grapes, watermelons, pineapples and mangoes for desserts together with iced tea, fruit punch and soft drinks.
The celebration was indeed a joyous event for all Malaysians and their families. Many Malaysians who have yet to register themselves with the Embassy took the opportunity to do so during the event. As in the previous years, the celebration had helped to bring together Malaysians living in the
