H.E. AMBASSADOR OF MALAYSIA TO THE REPUBLIC OF PHILIPPINES HOSTS IFTAR WITH MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN MANILA
 
His Excellency Dato Seri Dr. Ibrahim Saad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of the Philippines and Her Excellency Datin Seri Dato’ Zainab Abdul Zader hosted an Iftar with the Muslim Community in Manila on Monday, 6 September 2010 at “Rumah Malaysia”, the official residence of the Ambassador.
 
2.         The event was attended by nearly 200 people from the Muslim Community in Manila including the Honourable Bai Omera D. Dianalan-Lucman, Secretary of the National Commission of Muslim Filipinos; the Honourable Solaiman C. Mutia, Commissioner of the National Commission of Muslim Filipinos; and the Honourable Ansaruddin Alonto Adiong, Governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). The Iftar was also attended by officials and staff from the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila.
 
3.         After Maghrib prayers, the guests were feted to a buffet spread of Malaysian and Arabic cuisine prepared by PERWAKILAN as well as caterers. The food served included Mee Soup, kebabs, roast lamb, biryani rice and an assortment of Malaysian kueh and cakes.
