The participants embarked on a substantive programme in the Philippines. On 20 May 2013, the participants were hosted to a welcome dinner by H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamri Mohd Kassim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines, at the official residence of the Ambassador (Rumah Malaysia). The dinner was attended by officials and staff of the Embassy as well as their spouses. The participants also visited and were briefed at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Foreign Services Institute and the Asian Development Bank on 21 May 2013. On 22 May 2013, H.E Ambassador hosted a luncheon for the participants with officials from DFA, foreign junior diplomats posted in Manila and Embassy officials. During the study visit, the participants were also involved in on-the-job training at the various offices of the Embassy and they also received briefings on the various works and aspects of the Embassy’s offices. The participants also visited and were briefed at the MATRADE and Tourism Malaysia offices located at Fort Bonifacio Global City.
