"TASTE OF MALAYSIA / MALAYSIAN KITCHEN", RUMAH MALAYSIA, 1394 PALM AVENUE, DASMARINAS VILLAGE, MAKATI CITY, 29 AUGUST 2008

As part of the Malaysian Kitchen's initiative to promote our delicious cuisines to the world,  the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila had organised a Malaysian food feast event on 29 August 2008 at Rumah Malaysia (H.E Ambassador's Residence) in Dasmarinas Village, Makati City. The event which started from 6 p.m and lasted until 10 p.m had successfully attracted approximately 300 guests, among others, comprised of diplomatic corps, Philipines high officials and members of the media.

Before the feast started, H.E Dato' Ambassador gave a short welcome speech. He highlighted that apart from having various beautiful scenic places to visit, Malaysia is also known as gastronomical paradise with multitude of delicious food. As a multicultural society, Malaysia offers variety of traditional and fusion food which derived from the rich Malay, Chinese, Indian and other ethnic cultures.      

 

 

Among the cuisines served during the event were Briyani rice, Rendang Beef, Ayam Madu (Chicken with Honey), Sweet and Sour Fish, Fragrant Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong, Special Fried Beehoon, Mee Rebus ala Johor, Lemang, Noodle Soup with Fish Balls, Roti Canai with Dhall and assorted Malaysian cakes.
