VISIT OF H.E. AMBASSADOR OF MALAYSIA TO BAGUIO , 25 - 27 FEBRUARY 2011

His Excellency Dato Seri Dr. Ibrahim Saad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of the Philippines embarked on a two day visit to Baguio from 25 to 27 February 2011. The Ambassador was accompanied by Madame Datin Seri Zainab Abd. Kader, spouse of the Ambassador and officials from the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila.

 

2.         During the visit, the Ambassador made a courtesy call on the Hon. Mauricio Domogan, Mayor of Baguio City at Baguio City Hall. During the courtesy call, the Hon. Mayor presented the Ambassador with a symbolic key to the city of Baguio. The Hon. Mayor of Baguio City also hosted the Ambassador and his delegation to a dinner at Eurotel Hotel.

 

3.         The Ambassador also attended the 16th Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City on 26 February 2011. The Panagbenga Festival showcased the culture and flowers of the region, and is the city’s biggest annual festival.

 

4.         After attending the Panagbena Festival, the Ambassador and delegation were hosted to a lunch by the Hon. Nestor Fongwan, Governor of Benguet province.

 

5.         During the visit, the Ambassador and delegation also visited Mabini Mosque on Friday where they prayed with the Muslim Community of the city.

 

6.         The Ambassador and delegation also visited the University of Baguio where the University’s president, Dr. Ray Bautista hosted the Ambassador and delegation to a dinner.
