WORKING VIST OF
THE HON. TAN SRI DATUK SERI PANGLIMA PANDIKAR AMIN HJ. MULIA, SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
PARLIAMENT OF MALAYSIA
TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, 16-21 NOVEMBER 2010
The Hon. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Pandikar Amin Hj. Mulia, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Parliament of Malaysia will be making a working visit to the Republic of the Philippines from 16 to 21 November 2010.
2. During the visit, the Hon. Speaker is scheduled to make a courtesy call on the Hon. Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr., Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines to discuss various bilateral relations and regional cooperation issues; particularly in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The Hon. Speaker will also be given a tour and session sit-in of the Philippine House of Representatives.
3. While in the Philippines, the Hon. Speaker will also visit Cotabato City on 19 and 20 November 2010 to attend the 21st Foundation Anniversary Celebrations of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) as the Guest of Honour, where he will be giving the Keynote Address. While in Cotabato City, the Hon. Speaker will also visit the International Monitoring Team (IMT) Base; and be hosted to a lunch by Mr. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Consul General of Malaysia in Davao City.
4. In addition, H.E. Dato’ Seri Dr. Ibrahim Saad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines will host a reception for the Hon. Speaker at the Official Residence or “Rumah Malaysia”. The reception will also be attended by the rest of the Malaysian delegation; officers from the Parliament of Malaysia; members of the Malaysian community in Manila; and officers and staff from the Embassy of Malaysia in the Philippines.
5. Throughout the visit, the Hon. Speaker will be accompanied by Y.Bhg. Puan Sri Hadijah Abdullah Teng, spouse of the Hon. Speaker and the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines. In Cotabato City, the Hon. Speaker will also be accompanied by the Consul General of Malaysia in Davao City. The rest of the delegation comprises of officers from the Parliament of Malaysia and officers from the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila.
