Meet and Greet Harimau Malaya, 10 January 2024
In conjunction with the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, the Embassy of Malaysia hosted a ‘Meet and Greet Harimau Malaya’ event at the Embassy on 10 January 2024. The event provided the opportunity for the Malaysian fans based in Qatar to meet the players and express their support for the national team, which qualified to the tournament by merit for the first time in 42 years.
During the event, His Excellency Zamshari Shaharan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar delivered a welcoming remarks and expressed hope that the event will help bolster the spirit of the team for their upcoming matches in the tournament. The Malaysian team will play their first match on 15 January 2024.
His Excellency also expressed special thanks to YBhg. Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin, President of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and his management team as well as to the players.
