The Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR) and the Romanian Institute for European-Asian Studies (IRSEA) organized a Conference to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on 12 September 2012 at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute headquarters.
H.E. the Ambassador of Malaysia to Bucharest, Dato’ Nik Mustafa Kamal Nik Ahmad was one of the speakers at the Conference along with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Mr. Dan Petre and President of IRSEA, Ambassador Mr. Georghe Savuica.
The attendance was encouraging with participation from the academia, government officials and members of the diplomatic corps. Perwakilan Ladies also contributed to the success of the event with Malaysian dishes such as spaghetti goreng, nasi goreng udang, cucur kodok, popiah, onde-onde, kuih bakar, banana fritters and curry puffs. The participants clearly enjoyed the Malaysian food at the end of the session.
