Malaysian team, represented by a group of form five students from MRSM, Jasin, reaped silver medal in InfoMatrix competition in Bucharest, Romania from 6-9 May 2011. InfoMatrix is an international computer project competition, born from a desire to bring the world's best IT students together. Out of five categories, namely Programming, Computer Art, Hardware Control, Digital Art, and Robotics – Mini Sumo, which attracted more than 126 projects from 38 countries all over the world, Malaysia took part in the Robotics and Hardware Control categories.
The six students that made the country proud were, Syed Muhammad Syed Putra and Umar Abdul Aziz with their robot, Hang Tuah, while Muhammad Faris Abdullah and Ahmad Zul Fikhrie Azmi put forth their robot, Zero – X. Under the Hardware Control category, Izzul Islam Bakri and Muhammad Naqiuddin Muhammad Naguib presented their masterpiece to beat other entries except from Romania and Czech Republic to win the silver medal.
According to the accompanying teachers, Ms. Salwa Adib and Mr. Firdous, the competition was not only providing the opportunity to enhance the students’ innovative and creative thinking, but also to give greater exposure to compete with brilliant students from other countries. Besides, patriotism was very much seen as each team was tasked to promote their respective country to other fellow participants through the performance night and country booth. As human capital is deemed as the engine of growth in the 21st century, this kind of effort should be further promoted among young generation, not only at the comfort of their own turf but also at the international level.

Malaezia Adauga in Palmares Medalia de Argint de la Competitia InfoMatrix
Echipa malaeziana, formata din liceeni ai MRSM, Jasin, a castigat medalia de argint la competitia InfoMatrix desfasurata in Bucuresti, Romania in perioada 6-9 mai 2011. InfoMatrix este un concurs interna?ional de proiecte din domeniul computerelor, nascut din dorinta de a aduce impreuna pe cei mai buni liceeni IT din lume. Din cele cinci categorii, ?i anume Programare, Computer Art, Hardware Control, Digital Art, ?i Robotica - Mini Sumo, ce au atras peste 126 de proiecte din 38 de tari din întreaga lume, Malaezia a luat parte la categoriile de Robotica si Hardware Control.
Cei sase liceeni care au adus mandrie tarii au fost Syed Muhammad Syed Putra si Umar Abdul Aziz cu robotul lor, Hang Tuah, in timp ce Muhammad Faris Abdullah Ahmad ?i Zul Fikhrie Azmi s-au clasat pe locul IV cu robotul lor, Zero - X, În cadrul categoriei Hardware Control, Izzul Islam Bakri si Muhammad Naqiuddin Muhammad Naguib si-au prezentat lucrarea invingand alte tari, cu exceptia Romaniei si a Republicii Cehe, castigand medalia de argint.
Potrivit profesorilor insotitori, Dna. Salwa Adib si Dl. Firdous, concursul nu a oferit doar posibilitatea de a îmbunatati gandirea inovatoare ?i creativa a liceenilor, ci si ocazia de a intra in competitie cu liceeni eminenti din alte tari. In plus, patriotismul a marcat fiecare echipa, acestea fiind insarcinate cu promovarea tarii lor in fata celorlalti concurenti prin spectacolul din seara concursului si prin standul national. Intrucat capitalul uman este vazut ca motor al dezvoltarii secolului 21, acest tip de activitate ar trebui promovat în continuare in cadrul tinerei generatii, nu numai la nivel local ci si la nivel international.
