GiatMARA Manager of International Affairs, Mr Kamaruzzaman bin Ani paid a courtesy call on TYT Ambassador Haji Zainal Hamzah at the Embassy in Khartoum, today. He was accompanied by Automotive Instructor in Pusat GiatMARA BAtu Rakit Terengganu, Mr. Mohd Fakeri bin Bidin.
Mr. Kamaruzzaman and Mr. Mohd. Fakeri was in a recruitment drive in El-Fasher, Darfur recently to select suitable candidates to undergo a vocational training in automobile technology sponsored by GiatMARA. Out of 20 youths who turned up for the selection process, 9 were chosen for the six-months programme which will involve theory classes and practical trainings in selected workshops in Malaysia.
The programme was under the auspices of Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Sudan, HE Dato' Syed Ariff Fadzillah Syed Awaluddin for the capacity-building of the youths in Darfur.
