COURTESY CALL ON HIS EXCELLENCY MINISTER OF PETROLEUM, GAS AND MINERALS OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SUDAN, 26 SEPTEMBER 2018
The Malaysian Ambassador-designate to the Republic of the Sudan, Mohamad Razdan Jamil called on HE Azhari Abdul-Gadir Abdalla, the Minister of Petroleum, Gas and Minerals of the Republic of the Sudan on 26 September 2018. He was accompanied by Mr Azhan Ali, Chairman, Petronas Sudan Country Office, Mr Istaq Nadzril Abd Kader (Counsellor) and Mr Shukri Ahmad (Counsellor) of the Embassy of Malaysia.
Both sides exchanged pleasantries and Minister Azhari welcomed Ambassador-designate to Sudan. In response, Ambassador-designate thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and congratulated him on his re-appointment as well as taking on an additional portfolio of minerals in the recent cabinet appointments announced on 16 September 2018. Ambassador-designate noted that Malaysia has been actively involved in Sudan’s oil industry for over two decades through Petronas since 1997. He also took the opportunity to thank the Minister for Sudan’s continued trust and confidence in Petronas. The long history of Petronas operations and work in Sudan reflects the commitment and desire of Malaysia to continue such cooperation.
