FAREWELL DINNER FOR MR. KAMARUL EFFENDI KASSIM, HEAD OF OPERATIONS, NADA PROPERTIES CO. LTD ON 14 DECEMBER 2021

On Tuesday, 14 December 2021, the Embassy organized a farewell dinner at Rumah Malaysia for Mr. Kamarul Effendi Kassim, the Head of Operations, NADA Properties Co. Ltd (NPCL) who will be completing his tour of duty on 15 December 2021. He has served in Sudan for over 5 years since 2016 and now will be returning to PETRONAS HQ for his next assignment. He has shown great flexibility and resourcefulness in dealing with the Embassy since it moved to PETRONAS Complex in 2019. All of us at the Embassy will sorely miss his humour, friendship, and his cooking.

The Ambassador in his farewell remarks thanked him for being a wonderful example to his Sudanese colleagues who not only made his company proud but also carried the Malaysian flag proudly as he always supported all of the Embassy's activities. The Ambassador on behalf of the Embassy wished Mr. Kamarul the very best in his next chapter of his illustrious career and hope that he will stay in touch with all of us.

For our readers, for those who had served in Sudan, we notice that everytime there is a farewell, we realise we have developed a special bond among us. Perhaps, as the Sudanese believes, anyone who has tasted the Nile, will always be bound to Sudan. Selamat pulang ke tanah air Mr. Kamarul, semoga kita berjumpa lagi.
