The Chargè d' Affaires a.i of Malaysia, Mr. Deddy Faisal and his spouse Madam Noor Emilia hosted a dinner and gathering at their residence in Khartoum Ithnin on Saturday, 16 April 2011.
The dinner, which was held regularly, provides an avenue for Malaysians residing in Khartoum to gather and mingle with each other. Besides serving as a get- together amongst Malaysians, the dinner was also hosted as a farewell for Mr. Mohd. Izzat, the Administrative Assistant of the Embassy who will be ending his stint in Khartoum after 4 years of posting.
The dinner was attended by 20 Malaysians and was held in a very casual and relaxed manner, a testament of the close friendship and bonding amongst Malaysians.
The menu served was authentic Malaysian fare and was a close reminder of home.
Currently, a total of 250 Malaysians are registered with the Embassy of Malaysia in Khartoum.
