INTERNET SCAM CASES IN MALAYSIA
It has come to our knowledge that several Sudanese companies were scammed by bogus companies claiming from Malaysia. The modus operandi used by these internet scammers is by posting irresistible deals online to attract potential victim to deposit money into bank accounts in Malaysia. This includes dealing in real estate transaction, business arrangement and job offer.
In this connection, the Embassy of Malaysia, Khartoum would like to advise all business persons, individuals and investors to be more careful in dealing with the companies that they just knew through the internet. The Embassy is ever willing to provide assistance in verifying the Malaysian companies before the money transaction takes place.
Interested parties may also approach the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), our national trade promotion agency directly to obtain the list of reliable companies in Malaysia for international dealings. Their official website is www.matrade.gov.my
