On 3 July 2013, Royal Malaysia Police Contingent Medal Parade was held in Crimson Light Super Camp, El Fasher. It was held to celebrate the achievement of Royal Malaysia Police who has served for almost a year for peacekeeping in Darfur. Ambassador of Malaysia, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Ashri Muda was the guest of Honour to award the medal to all 25 Royal Malaysia Police officers who is also known as G25.
As for the Royal Malaysia Police, its inception in peacekeeping mission under the United Nations banner started in 1991 at Angola. Since then, the Malaysian Government has not stop receiving request from United Nations office in New York to continue sending our men to United Nations Missions all around the world including here in Sudan. Our police’s involvement in the UNAMID started since 2009.
