TOURIST ENTRY PROCEDURES FOR LANGKAWI INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL BUBBLE PROGRAMME
Starting 15 November 2021, the Government of Malaysia has activated its first international bubble travel to Langkawi.
Travelers from overseas who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can now travel to the island of Langkawi without undergoing quarantine but need to follow the SOPs.
Key SOPs to follow:
  • Fully vaccinated travelers, and minimum three days stay in Langkawi;
  • Negative PCR test 72 hours before the journey;
  • Entry into Langkawi via air travel only;
  • No MyTravelPass (MTP) application required;
  • Compulsory to use Travel Agencies licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture Malaysia (MOTAC);
  • Subscribe to an insurance policy valued at USD 80,000.00;
  • Complete the health declaration form;
  • PCR test upon arrival or on the second day; and
  • After staying for seven days or more in Langkawi, travelers are allowed to visit other parts of Malaysia (after being tested negative on day eight)
