On 2 May 2015, Ambassador of Malaysia to Sudan, His Excellency Mustafa Hj. Mansor made a visit to Africa University Farm in Al Aylafun, Khartoum. Ambassador was received by Africa University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Kamal Mohamed Abeid and seniors officers from the university. Ambassador accompanied by two officers from the Embassy of Malaysia in Sudan was given a tour around the farm which is used by the students of Africa University who studied Agriculture.

During the tour, a brief was given by the Vice Chancellor himself and the visit ended with a luncheon meeting hosted by the Vice Chancellor. Ambassador and the Vice Chancellor among others discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Sudan in the field of education. To date, there are about 30 Malaysians studying Arabic language and Islamic Shariah in Africa University. In total, there are 53 Malaysian students in Sudan.
