Deputy Minister of Human Resources Malaysia, YB Senator Datuk Maznah Mazlan led a 7-member delegation to Khartoum, Sudan from 22-27 December 2010.
Her visit was at the invitation from her counterpart, the State Minister of Human Resources Development of the Republic of The Sudan, His Excellency Mr. Elsamani El-Wasilah.
Minister Al-Samani said the visit of the Deputy Minister came in response to the visit of a high-level Sudanese delegation to Kuala Lumpur in November 2010, added that the two sides agreed to establish a twinning programme between the two ministries as well as discussing issues of administrative development and labour regulations in the two countries.
He added that Sudan and Malaysia also agreed to boost the exchange of experts and expertise in order to benefit from the Malaysian experiment that contributed to the economic development of Malaysia.
Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Sulaiman Mahbob, Adjunct Professor at The International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA) who were a member of the delegation also delivered two lectures on the issue of Federalism and Malaysia Economic Development to high ranking Sudanese officials.
YB Senator Datuk Maznah Mazlan also met several women leaders in the public sector including Federal Minister of Social Welfare and Security, Amira Al-Fadil.
She also met a group of Malaysian students in Khartoum.
