H.E. Dato’ Zulkifli Adnan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore hosted the 60th National Day Reception at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore on the eve of 30 October 2017. The Reception was also held to commemorate the 54th Malaysia Day and the 84th Armed Forces Day. It was attended by approximately 300 guests comprising of Ambassadors/High Commissioners and members of the diplomatic corps, Defence Attachés and their Singaporean counterparts, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries/agencies, business community and Malaysians residing in Singapore.
The Guest of Honour for the event was H.E. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. Also present were Mr. Christopher de Souza, Member of Parliament (MP) for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC and Ms. Fatimah Lateef, MP for Marine Parade GRC.
The guests were indulged with Malaysian delicacies while being entertained with traditional dances by the Gema Sari Group, a cultural dance troupe from Langkawi.
