PERWAKILAN Belgrade organised a Batik Painting Workshop and Naïve Art Presentation on 25 September to kick start the Colours of Malaysia 2018.
Held at the Radisson Collection Hotel Old Mill Belgrade, the Workshop was attended by the Spouses of the Heads of Missions in Serbia, local media journalists, bloggers and friends of Malaysia.
Among the highlights of the event were:
1. Batik Presentation by Mrs Nur Azlina Adinan, Chairperson of PERWAKILAN Belgrade;
2. Naïve Art Presentation on the artworks of Datin Eliza
Tajuddin by Mrs Ana Zolna Barca, the Curator and Director of the Naïve Art Gallery in Kovacica, Serbia; and
3. Batik Painting Demonstration by Ms Srna Subanovic, a talented Serbian artist.
The Workshop provided a good avenue for the participants to experience and learn the art of our Malaysian Batik and at the same time to promote the inter-cultural exchange between Malaysia and Serbia.
