Malaysian Cuisines Featured in Television Cooking Show


Fox television Serbia will be featuring Malaysian cuisines on its upcoming new cooking show. According to the host of the show, some 20 Embassies in Belgrade would participate in the program, which aims to promote favourite dishes of respective countries for the enjoyment of its viewers.


Filming of the program for Malaysia was held at the official Residence of the Ambassador to Malaysia, Dato’ Saw Ching Hong on 3rd August 2007. In the opening segments, H.E Dato’ Saw displayed his culinary skills in preparing hand made noodles, which was later prepared into the Malaysian all time favourite dish Mee Goreng by Datin Jenny and Ms. Jennifer. Other cuisines prepared for the show were Kerabu (fruit salad) and Pegat Pisang (banana in coconut milk dessert).

Also showcased in the program were Malaysian traditional dance, performed by the Malaysia Embassy Cultural Troupe. The cultural troupe presented two dances for the show, Embun Sosek and Layang Emas, which would be included in the program.
