19 October 2017 - The Embassy of Malaysia and Turkish Airlines Belgrade collaborated in organising “Enchanting Malaysia”, a tourism seminar that promoted Malaysia’s popular tourist attractions
More than 30 local and international tour operators as well as representatives from the Turkish Airlines offices both in Serbia and Malaysia, participated in the seminar that presented the participants with an overview of Malaysia, its various tourist attractions and benefits offered by the Turkish Airlines for tourists planning to travel to Malaysia. Participants were also introduced to some of the Malaysian traditional costumes and had the chance to win several prizes in the interactive quiz session. The tourism presentation was followed by business meetings between the local tour operators and the representatives of the Malaysian tourist agencies who also attended the seminar. The participants were then invited to a cocktail reception where they sampled some Malaysian culinary specialties.
The participants and guests of the “Enchanting Malaysia” tourism seminar gave excellent feedbacks on the said programme that had initiated many interests and potential cooperation in the promotion of Malaysia as an attractive destination for tourists from this region. The seminar also received wide coverage from the local media including the “Srbija koju volim” (*Serbia I Love) tourism TV show and prominent tourism publications such as the “Tourism World” and “Travel for Two” magazines.
